Madden 2006 - A Year in Review

Now that the 2005 football season is over and free agency is underway, it is time to look back at the year that was. The Steelers, T.O, and Tom Brady were all big stories this year, but I am not talking about the 2005-2006 NFL season. I am talking about my very own Madden 2006 season. Now that Madden 2007 is just around the corner, it is time to evaluate this past season.
June-July 2005
I have always been a big football video game fan, but I have always prefered the “not Madden” choice. For the past two years, I have bought and really enjoyed ESPN’s NFL games. When I heard that EA Sports had been awarded the exculsive right to produce a NFL game for the 2005 season, you could say that I was a little T.O.ed (and yes I do mean Terrell Owensed). In fact, I told myself that I would never buy the game. I would boycott it and hope that EA would lose its exclusive publishing rights from the NFL.
“I will not buy this game. I will not buy this game. I will not buy this game.” Stomps feet and pouts.
